HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE
ANIS Grand Chief Tahzin Hilario Crespin Esquino, sends a request to the diaspora on behalf of Indigenous communities in Ahuachapan and Sonsonate. For the holiday season, including Christmas, the winter solstice, and beginning of a new year, this request for funds is to purchase toys for the Children of ANIS Members in communities including:
San Francisco Menendez and Jujutla (La Barra Santiago) in the department of Ahuachapán; & Nahuizalco (Carrizal), San Antonio del Monte (El Castaño, San Ramon), and Santo Domingo de Guzman in the department of Sonsonate.
The goal is to raise funds for 150 kids across the communities to get one toy each.

CONSEJO COMUNIDADES ORIGINARIAS DE PANCHIMALCO
The Council of the Original Communites of Panchimalco (Consejo Comunidades Originarias de Panchimalco; @CocoPanchimalco) supports 50 Indigenous families in the poorest communites of Panchimalco. Panchimalco is a rural Indigenous Nahua community in El Salvador. The population is very poor and in the rainy season (known locally as winter), many families suffer from the lack of decent housing. Surviving over 500 years of colonialism, this is your opportunity to support them!
SIX GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS
Latinx History Project fiscally sponsors this ANIS-International fundraiser for:
1) Ancestral Community Library in Sonsonate: A closed community library with ancestral teachings in the department of Sonsonate. The community is not open to naming themselves publicly, but they are at risk of losing their physical space each month.
2) Asociacion de Parteria Indigena y Comunitaria: A collective of parteras (birthworkers) from across the departments, that educates aspiring parteras and creates the next generation of traditional birthworkers.

3) Asociacion Nacional de Indigena Salvadoreña - Headquarters
4) Canton El Brazo Mutual Aid: A rural community located in San Miguel, of Afro-Lenca and Lenca descent. Residents survived the immense violence caused by the Civil War in the 1980's, but the canton is still recovering.
5) Witzapan Mutual Aid: A rural community located in Santo Domingo de Guzman, of Nawat people, some of still speak the language Nawat with their neighbors. Residents in the Canton El Caulote live in extreme poverty and need support to build a crop. Ten families will benefit from this effort.

6) Yultuk: A community initiative of artesans in Panchimalco, promoting just treatment of artists. The community in Panchimalco has a the tradition of the Paño, which is practiced by Elders. Their Paño campaign aims to get their Elders access to paño and masks.
